Please join Norwood Flynn Gallery for an artist’s reception for Christopher Bingham in Art with a View at BarBelmont in the historic, retro-chic Belmont Hotel, Wednesday, September 7, 2011, from 6-9pm.
The artwork of Chris is perfect for this venue, since several of his paintings depict neon signage, some of them, “dinosaurs of art, close to extinction,” and some already only memories, “ a glimpse of the glory days,…capturing the essence of the seedy motels and smoke filled rooms” of the past. Bingham, a 2011 finalist for the Hunting Prize, has shown at Norwood Flynn Gallery since 2009. Last August, his work was featured with 16 other artists from Oak Cliff in a show at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center.
