Little Suggies Raw Paleo Vegan Gluten Free Dessert

Now that I'm on a healthier eating kick, I plan out a lot of my meals ahead of time. That goes for desserts too. I make different dessert snacks in batches, and share some with my mom. She needs to have a healthy treat too no?

These Little Suggies mimic a sugar cookie or snickerdoodle dough. That's right, it's like eating cookie batter-- and really, who doesn't like that?

So here is the recipe for my Little Suggies

1 cup good organic dates, pitted
1/3 cup of sliced almonds
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla
1.5 tablespoon of almond butter
A pinch of sea salt

Put all the ingredients in a food processor until mixed thoroughly.

Take out and rolls into balls.

Eat and Repeat!

Can be stored in the fridge.

This dessert would be good for people on Paleo, Gluten Free, Raw, Vegan, Vegetarian -- or any diet!

Enjoy!

Little Trailies Vegan Gluten Free Paleo Dessert Snack

If you have been following my posts, you know I am on a health mission. If you are new, then let me give you a little history. I started a juice fast to reboot my system, take out all those little pesky toxins. I also wanted to change the way I was eating. I was not a junk food, soda eater drinker-- but there was definitely room for improvement. My new way of eating consists of eating More foods that are dense with nutrition.

But like I said before in another post, a girls gotta have sweets. So here is a recipe for a great snack or dessert. My little Trailies.

If you are interested in process from day one you can click here: http://arthash.blogspot.com/search/label/Chronic%20Fatigue

Little Tralies (A Gluten Free, Vegan, Paleo, Raw, just really damn tasty little dessert ball)

1.25 cups of Almond Butter (try to get a fresh ground one if you can-- of course organic- raw)

1 cup of oats (oats are gluten free but if you are worried about cross contamination buy gluten free oats)

.25 cups of Agave Nectar (so agave works for Vegan and you can use honey for Paleo)

.5 cups of a good organic trail mix (mine had cranberries, nuts, seeds)

2 tablespoons of organic unsweetened cocoa powder.

Mix all the ingredients together and roll into round balls and put in fridge for at least 30 minutes. They also store in the fridge. You can also take them out if they have been in a while and let them get to room temp for 15 minutes if you like, or can wait!

Raw Vegan Gluten Free Paleo Avocado Cucumber Snack Bites

I'm eating to live a healthier life. When you have a chronic illness, what you put in your body immediately either makes you feel good or bad. I personally would like to choose good.

I have been dealing with a perpetual state of Epstein Barr Virus that causes fatigue. Im on a mission to figure this thing out.

So back to healthy eating. I'm a foodie, I love good food-- and you know what... Food that is good for you can taste good too.

Here is a snack I made that you will love.

Pepper
A dash of green hot sauce
Ten Sliced rounds of cucumber

Mix Avocado with tomato, cilantro, garlic, salt, pepper, and hot sauce. Dollop on top of cucumber slices -- then eat!

Chocolate Fudge Lovies Raw Gluten Free Vegan Paleo Dessert

For health reasons I am on a quest to eat healthier.

But a girls gotta have chocolate no?

Eating foods free of being processed is the order of the day. This works fine for breakfast, lunch and dinner-- but what about dessert...

I ran across a recipe for fudge babies on the Chocolate Covered Katie blog. They looked to die for, so I made some-- adding and adapting to my liking.

The result: heaven!

1/2 lb of good quality dates pitted

3-4 teaspoons of unsweetened chocolate powder (I used Now Organic)

2/3 a cup of raw cashews

1 tablespoon of coconut oil

1 tablespoon of natural peanut butter

Take all your ingredients and blend them together in a food processor. It will be a bit grainy looking, that's ok. If it feels moist you can take them out and roll them into balls. Dust lightly with more cocoa, or omit this if it's too bitter for you.

Eat, and repeat!!!

For all practical purposes this recipe is vegan, gluten free, organic, and if you are paleo you can trade the peanut butter for almond butter.
