Inspired by science fiction fantasy books, films made from the 1920s through 1950s, and comic books published in the 1960s and 70s, Skinner paints large works of devastated wasteland landscapes and remarkably detailed ferocious monsters.  These works are installed in self-constructed ambient gallery spaces that illustrate hyperbolized metaphors of the desolation, chaos, and suffering seen in the world.
