Marina Abramovic Institute West is now accepting submissions for performance centered projects.
Please send a digital or physical portfolio of no more than 10 images. If digital, please send high quality jpegs or tiffs. We require a $30 fee to accompany the submission package. Include a SASE envelope, and mail your submissions to:

Submission review takes a one-month turnaround period. Please, no phone calls before or after review.
Artists' portfolios will be returned by mail after review, or kept for further consideration with artists' permission.

Marina Abramovic Institute WEST (MAI West) was established to help preserve performance art and to increase its audience. The Institute's goal, according to its eponymous founder, is to inspire research, as well as foster creativity and collaboration among an international network of young artists, whose mediums range from performance, dance, and theater, to film, video, opera, and music. The San Francisco Institute is located at 575 Sutter St (Union Square), with two floors at 7,500 sq. ft of exhibition space and four lofts for workshops, and a film and lecture series.
