Artist Opportunity – Call to Entry – The Lakes Area Arts League – Show Chaired by TSA Member Delbert Beckham

The Lakes Area Arts League is hosting their first ever "Art in Three Dimensions" Fine Art Show and Sale in the LAAL Art Center located just off the Historic Downtown Square in Center, Texas. Center is an easy day trip from Shreveport, LA; Tyler, Lufkin, Longview, TX; and other large population centers. There is room for up to eight large outdoor sculptures on the grounds of the Art Center, which is a historic home built in 1881 and transformed into a fine art gallery with a classroom and library.

“Art in Three Dimensions” Fine Art Show and Sale

August 21 thru September7

Open to all Artists

3-D Fine Art Media: Indoor and outdoor, 3 – D Fine Art Media.

(Some examples of 3 –D Fine Art are: pottery, ceramics, earthenware, glass, wood turnings, wood carvings, sculpture in all mediums, basket-weaving, floral design, etc.)

Art Work must be suitable for family viewing. The Exhibits Committee will review entries and reserves the right of acceptance or refusal of any subject matter not appropriate.

Number of Entries: Limited to three.

Entry Fee: Members of LAAL: $5.00 per entry. Non-members: $10.00 per entry.

Entry Form & Digital Image Deadline: Entry must be postmarked no later than July 30, and digital images must be emailed on or before this deadline.

Exhibits Delivery Place, Dates, & Times:  Lakes Area Art League Art Center, 305 Nacogdoches St., Center, Texas.

Set Up Delivery Date & Time:  August 12 – August 16.

Submission Requirements:  Entry form must be submitted by Friday, July 30th (postmarked by July 30th). Make checks payable to Lakes Area Arts League, and mail with Entry Fees to:

A LAAL Membership Application will be included in the entry packet for your convenience should you desire to become a member of Lakes Area Arts League.

Digital Images of your entries should be 300 dpi and sent in a jpeg format. Please send two (2) images per entry and email images to: laal@ndemand.com with “Images” in the subject line. Deadline is on or before July 30th .

Members exhibiting their Art Work are requested to volunteer for at least one (1) two-hour shift during the gallery dates of the exhibition. A sign-up sheet will be available at Receiving.

The LAAL assumes no responsibility for loss or damage of any Art Work on display in the Lakes Area Art League Gallery. Artist accepts sole responsibility of Art Work submitted for show.

Sale of Artwork:  As a not-for-profit organization, the LAAL provides the artists with an opportunity to exhibit their Artwork, but DOES NOT assume the role of agent or representative. The

Lakes Area Art League will retain 25% of the sale price of the artist’s Art Work.

The entry of your Art Work constitutes your acceptance of these entry requirements and terms.
