Artists Wanted: A Year In Review, Awarding a Feature at SCOPE New York 2011

An International Call for the Best Emerging Artists in Fine Art, Design, Photography & Film


NEW YORK CITY -- Artists Wanted is kicking off the new year with Artists Wanted : A Year in Review, an international open call looking for dynamic, innovative and compelling artwork to present during Armory Week in New York City, scheduled to take place March 2011.

One selected artist will receive a feature spot at SCOPE Art Show in New York City during Armory Week 2011, where the world's artists, collectors, buyers, gallerists, critics, curators and art-enthusiasts will gather.  The selected artist will also receive a $10,000 prize, which includes a $5,000 cash grant to produce new work to showcase at the SCOPE show.  Hotel accommodations and airfare to and from New York are also included in the winner's package.

In addition to the Grand Prize offering, one selected artist will receive $1,000 cash and an online feature broadcasted internationally in each of the following categories: Fine Art (Painting, Drawing, Sculpture and Installation), Motion & Sound (Film, Video, Performance and Sound), Design & Illustration, and Photography.  One artist who receives the highest number of public votes will receive the $2,000 People's Choice Award and an online feature.

Entries will be reviewed by our talented panel of judges, who are leaders in their fields, dedicated to creative expression and fully supportive in the effort to identify and recognize emerging artistic talent all across the globe.
