Dallas’ premier weekend arts celebration at historic Fair Park moves to Memorial Day weekend!
Free family-fun festival to feature rooftop fireworks, free museum visits, film night under the stars, multi-cultural entertainment, culinary showcase, children’s area, CityArts Marketplace, “dancing water” shows, plus ARTFEST juried show sets up shop outdoors

Showcasing spectacular cultural, performing, visual and culinary arts, CityArts Festival presented by Big City Crushed Concrete will fill historic Fair Park with three days of art-loving, museum-visiting, chef-cooking, craft-making, film-watching, music-playing, fireworks-flying, water-dancing, full-blown fun
Friday, May 27 – Sunday, May 29. Free and open to the public, the event will boast a worldly array of festivities for families and art aficionados to enjoy Memorial Day weekend against the backdrop of Fair Park, a national landmark featuring the world’s largest collection of art deco exhibit buildings, art and sculpture. New this year – ARTFEST will return to its traditional outdoor setting over Memorial Day weekend, a Friday flick under the stars will debut as the perfect date night destination and rooftop fireworks will rock the town Saturday night!

Thanks to Atmos Energy, Fair Park’s eight museums will offer free admission during the weekend (hours vary) including the African American Museum, Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park, The Women’s Museum, Dallas Historical Society/Hall of State, Texas Museum of Automotive History, Texas Discovery Gardens, Museum of Nature & Science and Museum of the American Railroad.
Other highlights will include musical, dance and performing arts acts on the main stage sponsored by MetroPCS; a children’s area sponsored by Prudential featuring more than 20 prominent arts organizations and nonprofits offering arts and crafts, interactive activities and family-fun entertainment; multi
disciplinary demos and workshops; CityArts Marketplace offering unique gifts, clothing, collectibles and arts and crafts; and a culinary area complete with demos and samplings by local chefs, plus beer, wine and liquor tastings. On Friday night, the DALLAS Film Society will present a full-length film at 9 p.m. On Saturday night,
rooftop fireworks sponsored by Gold Metal Recyclers will light the skies above the Cotton Bowl at 10 p.m. with a pre-concert featuring
The Vocal Majority Chorus, an internationally acclaimed 150+ male chorale group. “Dancing water” shows choreographed to music at the Esplanade Fountain will make a splash and turn some smiles throughout the weekend.

ARTFEST, the juried art show coordinated by The 500, Inc., will be outdoors at CityArts Festival to showcase fine art and original pieces by nearly 200 renowned Texas and national artists, all while raising money for cultural arts organizations in the Dallas area.

Founded by the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau in 2004, CityArts Festival is presented by Friends of Fair Park in collaboration with a variety of cultural, civic and arts organizations.

Admission is free. The City of Dallas charges $10 to park within the gates of Fair Park, or ride DART’s Green Line Rail to the Fair Park Station. CityArts Festival runs from 6 – 10 p.m. Friday (May 27), from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Saturday (May 28), and from noon – 6 p.m. Sunday (May 29). Activities will take place inside the Tower Building and outside along the Lagoon, Cotton Bowl Plaza and Big Tex Circle.
