Visit the 9th Annual Cedars Open Studios Tour, Saturday, November 19. 2011, 12:00 – 6:00 pm in the historic Cedars District just south of downtown Dallas. Dozens of Cedars artists living and working in renovated warehouses and loft spaces, open their studios to the public for the day. It’s a great chance to see where artists work and what they create; and get a behind the scenes look at painting, sculpting, glass blowing, ceramics, photography and much more.
The Cedars has evolved into a not only an artist’s haven, but also a major eclectic music mecca and night spot with many popular music venues, restaurants, clubs and bars. A residential boom is also underway, with lofts, condominiums and other alternative spaces popping up in new construction and renovated buildings.
