“For those of us who reside mostly in a world of pixels and antialiased Web fonts, Printed Matter’s fifth annual New York Art Book Fair was a breath of fresh, ink-and-glue-infused air.”

--

Thank you to all who joined Printed Matter for the NY Art Book Fair at MoMA PS1! Over 16,000 visitors spent four days with 280 exhibitors from twenty-four countries, celebrating the field of artists’ books and spirit of independent publishing.

This year’s Fair hosted more than fifty programs, performances, artist talks and book signings, including the Contemporary Artists’ Books Conference and The Classroom, alongside the special exhibitions You Are Her, a collection of more than one thousand Riot Grrl zines organized by Goteblüd (San Francisco), and Ten Years of PPP Editions, a retrospective of photography and book art organized by Andrew Roth (New York).

Read coverage of the NY Art Book Fair in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Observer and the Opening Ceremony blog. View our photos of the event on Facebook.

Your incredible generosity helps keep the Fair free for all visitors. Support Printed Matter and the NY Art Book Fair year round by donating online, consider purchasing new print editions by Rachel Harrison, William E. Jones, and Misaki Kawai, or check out Printed Matter’s specially commissioned tote bags by Panayiotis Terzis, Edie Fake, or Geoff McFetridge, produced by American Apparel in support of our artist commissions.
