The Best Contemporary Hits of 2011

A selection of work will be exhibited at OFG from Monday, December 19th to Saturday, December 24th, while all submissions will be exhibited online through the gallery’s website (www.oliverfrancisgallery.com).
The gallery will operate as a retail space from 12 – 9PM (Monday through Friday) and 12 – 5PM (Saturday). All work online and at the gallery will be for sale. Credit cards and cash payments only. NO checks (Oliver is not 83 years old). Each participating artist will contribute a percentage of their sale toward UNICEF.
Working in over 150 countries, UNICEF provides children with health care, clean water, nutrition, education, protection, emergency relief, and more.
Works in the exhibition will include a video installation projecting video through motorized lenses by Alfredo Salazar-Caro, .gif animations by Desiree Espada and Kasumi Chow, lightning bolts by Michelle Rawlings, precious geometric sculptures by Ricardo Paniagua, plastic trash bag dwellings by Alison Starr, talking to finches via Morse code (a performance) by Jonathan Cote and Sloane, small assemblages (that USPS will not ship) by Robert Harrington, black erasers by JJesus, a non-beautiful painting that doesn’t suck dog dick by Michael Wynne, and plenty more.
