Icebreaker3 Show Call for Entries Colorado

Call for Entries
Icebreaker3 is the third annual exhibition of the finest artists living and working in Colorado. Sponsored by the Ice Cube Gallery, a dynamic, contemporary art co-op, this exhibit has no specific theme and contemporary artists of every medium should consider entering.

Juror Gwen Chanzit is curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Denver Art Museum where she has organized a variety of exhibitions, from those on individual artists Herbert Bayer, Matisse, and Bonnard, to group presentations, such as Color as Field.  This year she curated Focus: Earth and Fire and Overthrown: Clay without Limits.  Among her many publications are From Bauhaus to Aspen: Herbert Bayer and Modernist Design in America, and the 40 artists’ essays in Radar: Selections from the Collection of Vicki and Kent Logan. She was editor and contributed essays for two recent Denver Art Museum catalogs, Embrace! and Overthrown: Clay Without Limits.  Chanzit holds a Ph.D. in art history and contributes to future generations of museum professionals as director of museum studies for the graduate program in art history at the University of Denver’s School of Art and Art History.
