The City of Austin Art in Public Places Program seeks to commission two professional visual artists to design and create artwork for the Colorado St and 3rd St Streetscape Enhancement Art in Public Places projects in downtown Austin. Artists who live in the state of Texas are eligible to apply. The selected artists will be charged with creating unique and innovative solutions to integrate artwork into the overall design of the streetscapes, per the City of Austin Great Streets Program guidelines.
Morris Williams Golf Course Pro Shop

The City of Austin Art in Public Places Program seeks to commission a professional visual artist to design and create artwork for the interior of the Morris Williams Golf Course Pro Shop located at 4300 Manor Road in Austin. Artists who live within a 100 mile radius of Austin are eligible to apply.
YMCA/North Austin Community and Recreation Center
Budget: $120,000
Deadline: November 7, 2011, 5:00pm
Artist Information Meeting: October 18, 2011, 6:00 – 7:00pm
The City of Austin Art in Public Places Program seeks to commission a professional visual artist, or artist team, to design and implement a community garden at the new YMCA/North Austin Community Recreation Center. Artists who live in the state of Texas are eligible to apply. During the design process, the selected artist(s) will work extensively with the local community, through workshops and public events, to develop the garden design. The goal of this project is to produce a unique, functioning and sustainable garden that yields fresh produce for the community.
