Art Opening The Steez Gallery Nashua, NH



Opening reception July 8th from 6 to 9 PM.

Art exhibit will be up from July 8th through July 31st.

The Awkward Robot returns to entertain while four unique artists showcase their individual styles.

The Steez Gallery, located at 85 W Pearl St in Nashua, NH, has intended to bring new artwork to light with their choices of alternative artwork to compliment their highly sculptural glass pieces. In the month of July, The Awkward Robot returns to entertain on July 8th, 2011 from 6 to 9 PM alongside bands VCOD and COMMA and four unique artists: Sam Paolini, Courtney Elwell, James Willette, and Sara Richard.

Sam Paolini hails from Exeter, NH with her psychedelic and colorful artwork. She currently runs a free artistic and musical promotional magazine titled "Wrong Brain" and organizes a show titled "Emerging Artists" which runs annually in Exeter, NH.

Courtney Elwell hails from Manchester, NH and titles herself as a "nomadic artist." With bold figurative works, she works best in large scale acrylic on canvas. She has previously exhibited prints at The Steez Gallery during the Salon Show! in April of this year.

James Willette hails from Manchester, NH and currently attends the New Hampshire Institute of Art for photography. He will be showing his semi-abstracted black and white cloudscape photography and tubular photographs.

Sara Richard hails from Providence, RI. Her artwork combines definitive line art qualities and recognizable forms with flowing abstraction. She previously graduated Columbus College of Art and Design for illustration.

The Awkward Robot is a band with influences from Kevin Devine, Bright Eyes, and Bob Dylan, originally hailing from New Hampshire and relocated to Austin, TX. The Awkward Robot is returning to their home scene to play a return show specifically at The Steez Gallery! The Awkward Robot will be playing at 7 PM.

The Steez Gallery Presents: Sam Johnson

Sam Johnson presents his variety of street art-like works in an array of mediums. August 2nd through August 30th, with an opening reception of Friday, August 5th from 6 PM to 8 PM




In the month of August, Sam Johnson will be exhibiting an array of mediums, sizes, and conversational subjects.
Sam Johnson is a 23 year old graduate of the New Hampshire Institute of Art out of Kittery, ME who runs his influences along that of street art and graffiti. Sam's works show a lot of visceral forms, including, but not limited to predator animals such as sharks and wolves, but also people and weapons. Sam Johnson has previously shown at The Steez Gallery for the Salon Style! Showing in April of this year.
