(The Bath House will be closed from December 24 to January 3) Opening Reception: Saturday, December 4, 2010 (7-9 PM). Free and open to the public. The unifying element behind the selection of the sculptures included in this exhibition by Jerry Dodd is the common idea of tools as aesthetic as well as functional objects. In virtually all of the exhibited welded and painted steel pieces, the artist has introduced a common tool or utilitarian object into the context of the sculpture as an integral form. The addition of color assists in the assimilation of all the components into a continuous whole. This theme has been an ongoing theme in Mr. Dodd’s sculpture for many years. | ||
