Arts In The Square Call For Entries Frisco Texas

Frisco Square transforms into an outdoor gallery during the 2011 Arts in the Square.

Frisco Square is a multi-generational, master planned development which will encompass as much as 4.4 million square feet of office, retail, multi-family and municipal facilities in an area of 147 acres. Located at the intersection of the Dallas North Tollway and Main Street (FM 720) and only 30 minutes from Dallas, Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field, Frisco Square is similar to a European village; a pedestrian-friendly urban environment in one of the fastest growing cities in America, Frisco, Texas.

With a variety of award-winning restaurants and residences, Frisco Square offers 7 award winning restaurants, access to entertainment with the brand new Cinemark opening the end of 2010, sports across Main Street at Pizza Hut Park. The Frisco Library, Heritage Village and Museum, the SciTech Museum (and the impending Museum of the American Railroad) are unique attributes that further set apart life at Frisco Square. Already home to Frisco’s City Hall and offices for Collin County, when complete Frisco Square will also offer more than 1.5 million square feet of office space. Naturally, there is shopping, too! Eligible Work
All original fine art and fine craft is eligible, including but not limited to: 2-D Mixed Media, 3-D Mixed Media, Clay, Decorative Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Metal, Oil, Watercolor, Drawing/Pastel, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Wearable Fiber, Wood and Leather. All work must be created by the artist. No mass-produced, commercially manufactured work or work manufactured from kits or molds are eligible.

Awards
A three-member panel of jurors will select award winners from on-site evaluation on Saturday, March 5. Winners will be announced on Saturday, March 5.
Best in Show – Cash Prize. ($1,000)
Jurors’ Choice Awards – Cash Prize. ($1,000)

Festival Hours

Artist check-in and set-up
Saturday, March 5, 6:00am – 9:00am                                                
-          Booth assignments are made at the discretion of the Festival Director.
-          Photo ID is required at time of check-in
-          Packets with booth number and other materials will not be available until day of check-in.
-          Check-in begins at 6:00 am on Saturday morning.
-          You have one hour to unload your vehicle. You then need to move your vehicle to designated parking lot and set-up at your leisure.
-          You must be unloaded and set-up by 10:00 a.m.

Parking
All vehicles must be parked in the designated parking lot.
No RV’s, unhitched trailers or artist vehicles of any kind are allowed to park in the festival parking lot.

Application Procedure
For each category entered, register digital entries through ZAPP at www.zapplication.org
• Complete application form
• Non-refundable $30 application fee
• $300, $400 or $600 booth fee according to your selection
• $50.00 Electricity fee and/or $50 for setup assistance
• Five jpg images of work and one of booth. Images should be sized 1920x1920 pixels

Applications must be received by 5pm, November 1, 2010.
Payments should be made through ZAPP registration through PayPal or credit card

Release
By applying to the Arts in the Square I assume all responsibility to safeguarding of my products and my display at the Arts in the Square on March 5 and March 6, 2011. Frisco Square Development LTD and Behringer Harvard Frisco Square, LP has the right to close the Arts in the Square if any unforeseen circumstances occur that would affect the safety of the event attendees or vendors. I agree to hold harmless Frisco Square Development LTD and Behringer Harvard Frisco Square, LP for any damage, loss or injury resulting from my participation in this event.
I hereby certify that the work I will display and sell at the Arts in the Square will represent my own work. I agree to allow images of my work to be used in event-related publicity and/or materials.
