Description: “Figuratively Speaking” is but not limited to the traditional/contemporary aspects of the human forms, conditions, interactions, and abstractions of the human body. "Figuratively Speaking" includes figurative characteristic in abstracted forms. Emerging and establishes artists are welcome (18 years old or older) Best of Show (Solo Show) and $200 cash 3 Merit Awards (Group Show) and $50 cash 3 Honorable Mentions If selected artists are unable to participate in solo show or group show, additional cash prices will be given. Best of Show $350 and Merit Awards $80 each. EYA, a nonprofit organization based in Montgomery, AL, was founded in 2009 by Chintia Kirana and Iman Seraaj.Our edict is to bring together artists to showcase and promote their artwork. We are also committed to assisting indigent peoples around the world by giving percentages of our proceeds to different charities. Work must have been completed within the last three years. NO GICLEE COPIES OF ANY KIND. Works must be ready to hang. We cannot accept free standing sculpture, installation, or video arts. Absolutely no substitutions of accepted works will be allowed. All accepted works must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibit. “Figuratively Speaking” is but not limited to the traditional/contemporary aspects of the human forms, conditions, interactions, and abstractions of the human body."Figuratively Speaking" also includes figuration in contemporary design in terms of shapes, lines, and colors.”(Contact us for questions) A non-refundable entry fee of $35 for up to 3 works, and $5 for an additional works. Payment may be made by check (made payable to EYA) or by secure payment with Pay Pal (EYArtists.com). *Attention: Accepted artists from 2010 National Juried show will receive $5 off their entry fee.* How to Apply: Digital Files…must be JPEG’s submitted on a CD which can be read by a PC or a MAC. JPEG images should not exceed 1600 pixels in any direction and file size cannot exceed 1 MB. Please label CD with your name and label each JPEG image as follows: LAST Name, FIRST Name, TITLE and NUMBER that corresponds with that image on the Entry Form.
