Four Women + CADD FUNd

Dear Valley House Friend,

Please join us for the following events and exhibitions!

This Saturday, June 2, 1:00pm-5:00pm, Anne Weary will be in the gallery, on the final day of her exhibition, True to Nature. Stop by to meet Anne and see her exhibition. About the inspiration for her drawings, Anne Weary says, "I cannot resist the beauty and atmosphere of the woods – unspoiled and untouched by humankind."

Also, Saturday is the last chance to see Brooklyn-based artist Allison Gildersleeve's exhibition, High Frequency. About her paintings and ink drawings, Allison Gildersleeve says, "I'm interested in the point where imagery breaks down into abstraction, but not completely – I always want to catch it before the sensation of place dissolves into pure mark making."

Both exhibitions are on view today, Friday, and Saturday, 10:00am-5:00pm.

Please join us Saturday, June 9, 6:00pm-8:00pm, for the opening reception for two exhibitions, Vera Barnett: Home, and Trish Nickell: Points of View. Trish Nickell will give an Artist Talk on Saturday, June 16, 11:00am. Vera Barnett will give an Artist Talk on Saturday, June 23, 11:00am.

On June 10, at 5:00pm, celebrate creativity and community at a Sunday evening soup supper at this year's CADD FUNd at 3015 at Trinity Groves. CADD FUNd will be a fast-paced evening with six finalists sharing innovative ideas about potential artistic projects. CADD FUNd will make possible a high-impact idea that needs the support of the DFW arts community. Funds are raised by ticket sales and will be awarded to the winner chosen by the audience. Tickets are $40 and may be purchased at
