RCA Announces Its First Workshops in Dubai


THE ROYAL COLLEGE OF ART ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST DESIGN WORKSHOPS IN DUBAI

The Royal College of Art (RCA), voted again in 2016 as the world’s leading art and design university, will host design workshops during Dubai Design Week, giving a unique opportunity for design professionals, students and enthusiasts, to partake in one-day courses covering an array of design disciplines.

Courses are limited to 25 people and Dubai Design Week, in partnership with Dubai Design District (d3), will subsidize Dubai’s creative community to attend. Click here for details.
 
Courses include:
Interior Design pop-ups 
Tuesday 25th October
Workshop presenting the past, present and future of interior design pop-ups. Participants will work on proposing pop-up solutions to spatial challenges.
 
Curating Design
Wednesday 26th October
Workshop introducing current questions and practices affecting design curation and the making of exhibitions, through case studies and practical exercises.
 
Products for Spaces - Industrial Design 
Thursday 27th October
Workshop exploring the influence of manufacturing technology on product design. Participants will also learn furniture and lighting design techniques.
