Christopher Blay: Art Depreciation 1301 RO2 Art Dallas

I stopped by RO2 Art in downtown Dallas recently for a peek at Christopher Blay's showing.

For Art Depreciation 1301: Art before and after culture, Blay used painting, sculpture, and photography to explore the boundaries between Art and culture.

About Christopher Blay

My work deals essentially with two concepts. First it responds to the philosophical implications of camera culture and the effects of images that transcode rather than translate information between object and viewer. The other aspect of my work, evident in the current exhibit, deals with art historical criticism through various devices and media, including performance.
